The Boucle du Mouhoun region was created on July 2, 2001. It is an important part of Burkina Faso. The region covers a large area of about 34,333 square kilometers. In 2006, about 1.4 million people lived here.
Provinces in the Region
Boucle du Mouhoun is made up of six smaller areas called provinces. These provinces help to organize the region. Each province has its own local government.
