History of Boydsville
Boydsville has a simple but interesting history. A post office was opened there in 1858. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office helped the community stay connected.
The post office stayed open for many years, until 1906. The community was named after an early postmaster (the person in charge of the post office) named John K. Boyd. He was an important person in the area during that time.
