The Brûlée River is a small river in Quebec, Canada. Its name means "Burnt River" in English. This river flows through the area of Saint-Maurice. It is part of the Mauricie region.

The Brûlée River is a branch of the Champlain River. It flows into the Champlain River from its northwest side. The Champlain River then flows into the mighty St. Lawrence River. Most of the Brûlée River's path goes through farmland. In winter, usually from mid-December to late March, the river's surface freezes over.

Where Does the Brûlée River Start and End?

The Brûlée River begins at a small lake called Lac Massicotte. This lake is about 102 meters (335 feet) above sea level. Lac Massicotte is located south of Plé de Saint-Narcisse. It is also near the small area of Lac-Montreuil.

From Lac Massicotte, the Brûlée River flows for about 14.1 kilometers (8.8 miles). It generally flows towards the southeast. Along its journey, it picks up water from other small streams. One of these streams comes from Lac Lacommande.

The Brûlée River finally joins the Champlain River. This meeting point is also in the municipality of Saint-Maurice. It is located about 2.1 kilometers (1.3 miles) southeast of the main village center.
