Brandon Orlando Tatum (born April 22, 1987) is an American YouTuber and author. He is also known as The Officer Tatum. He shares his ideas about politics and is a radio host and podcaster. Before this, he was a police officer and a college football player.

Early Life and Education
Brandon Tatum was born in Fort Worth, Texas. When he was in high school, he was an amazing football player. He was even named an All-American. His father, Bobby Tatum, was a Deputy Chief in the Fort Worth Fire Department. His great uncle, Jack Tatum, was also a famous football player. Jack Tatum played for Ohio State and won a Super Bowl with the Oakland Raiders.
High School Football Star
Brandon Tatum was one of the top 78 high school football players in the country. He played in the US-Army All-American Game. In 2004, he received a full scholarship to play football at the University of Arizona.
College Football Career
Tatum played football for the University of Arizona for five years. After college, he hoped to play in the NFL Draft in 2010.

Career Path
Becoming a Police Officer
After the NFL Draft, Brandon Tatum became a police officer in Tucson, Arizona. He became well-known in 2016 because of a video he posted online. In the video, he talked about feeling unsafe at a campaign event for presidential candidate Donald Trump.
He became famous again in September 2017. This time, it was for a video where he shared his thoughts. He spoke about players "taking the knee" during the national anthem at NFL football games.
Political Commentary and Media
In October 2017, Tatum left the Tucson Police Department. He joined Liftable Media, a company that creates conservative content. He then worked for Turning Point USA, a conservative group. In late 2019, he started his own media company.
Author and Radio Host
In November 2021, Tatum released his book. It is called Beaten Black and Blue: Being a Black Cop in an America Under Siege. The book was published by Bombardier Books.
