Brandon Orlando Tatum (born April 22, 1987), also known as The Officer Tatum, is an American YouTuber and political commentator. He is also an author, radio personality, and a former police officer. Before his career in media, he was a college football player.
Early Life and Education
Brandon Tatum was born on April 22, 1987, in Fort Worth, Texas. Growing up, he was a talented football player. In high school, he earned the title of All-American. His father, Bobby Tatum, was a Deputy Chief in the Fort Worth Fire Department. His great uncle, Jack Tatum, was also a famous football player. Jack Tatum played for Ohio State and later became an All-Pro in the NFL. He even won a Super Bowl with the Oakland Raiders.
Brandon was chosen to play in the US-Army All-American Game. This game features the top 78 high school football players in the country. In 2004, Brandon received a full athletic scholarship. He committed to playing football for the University of Arizona. He played for five years at Arizona. After college, he entered the NFL Draft in 2010.

Police Officer
After the NFL Draft, Brandon Tatum became a police officer. He worked in Tucson, Arizona. He became well-known in early 2016. This happened because of a viral video he posted. In the video, he shared his thoughts after attending a political event.
He gained more attention in September 2017. This was for another video he shared. In this video, he talked about his views on athletes' actions during the national anthem.
