Brandy Fluker Oakley was born on August 13, 1983. She is an American politician. Since 2021, she has been a State Representative for Massachusetts. This means she helps make laws for the state. Her district covers parts of Milton, Hyde Park, Mattapan, and Boston. She is a member of the Democratic Party.

Brandy Fluker Oakley grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. Her parents are Brenda Fluker and Joseph Oakley. She went to Boston Latin School.
She later attended Syracuse University. There, she earned degrees in social work and policy studies. After college, she taught third grade in Baltimore. She was part of the Baltimore Teachers’ Union.
Later, Fluker Oakley went to law school at Emory University. After becoming a lawyer, she worked as a public defender. This means she helped people who could not afford a lawyer of their own. She worked in courts in Boston and Chelsea.

Brandy Fluker Oakley started her political journey by running for office. She won an election for the Massachusetts House of Representatives. This happened on September 1, 2020. She was the only candidate in the main election on November 3, 2020.
She took the place of Dan Cullinane. He had been the representative for the 12th Suffolk district for seven years. As a State Representative, she is part of important groups. These include the women's caucus and the Massachusetts Black and Latino Legislative Caucus. These groups work on issues important to women and people of color.
