In 1928, their team joined with another team called Richmond Road. Together, they formed the well-known club, Home Farm F.C.. Brendan Menton was the club's honorary secretary. This meant he helped run the club behind the scenes. His family has stayed involved with Home Farm F.C. for many years.

A Leader in Irish Football

Brendan Menton became a very important person in Irish football. He was the president of the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) from 1980 to 1982. The FAI is the main group that runs football in Ireland. Being president meant he was the top leader for the sport in the country.

He also worked with UEFA. UEFA is the main organisation for football in Europe. Brendan Menton served on different committees for UEFA. This shows he was respected in football not just in Ireland, but across Europe too.
