This community used to be part of a larger CDP called Bressler-Enhaut-Oberlin. But for the 2010 census, it was divided into three separate areas. In 2010, Bressler had a population of 1,437 people.
Bressler is in the southern part of Dauphin County. It's also in the southwestern section of Swatara Township. The community is part of the larger Harrisburg–Carlisle metropolitan statistical area. Bressler is surrounded by other towns. To the south, it borders Steelton. To the west, you'll find Enhaut. And to the north, it's next to Oberlin. It is about 5 miles (8 km) southeast of downtown Harrisburg.
