Brian O'Moore's Early Life
Brian O'Moore went to secondary school at St Mary's College, Dublin. He finished his studies there in 1978. After that, he studied Legal Science at Trinity College Dublin, graduating in 1982.
He then trained to become a barrister at the King's Inns. In 1980, he became a special student, called a scholar, at Trinity College.
Brian O'Moore's Legal Career
Brian O'Moore became a barrister in 1984. This means he could now represent clients in court. Fifteen years later, in 1999, he became a senior counsel. This is a more experienced and respected type of barrister.
His main work was in commercial law. This type of law deals with business and trade. He worked on cases about company problems, employment rules, and intellectual property. Intellectual property includes things like inventions and creative works.
He also represented the Irish government in the European Court of Justice. This is a very important court in Europe. He worked on cases about immigration law and other topics.
Working During the Banking Crisis
