Early Life and Youth Soccer
Brian was born in Toronto, Canada. When he was four years old, his family moved to a town called Ajax in Ontario. He started playing soccer at a young age with a local team called Ajax SC.
Brian Wright's Soccer Journey
College Soccer Career
Brian played college soccer for the University of Vermont team from 2013 to 2016. He was a fantastic player during his college years. In 80 games, he scored 39 goals and helped his teammates score 25 times.
He helped his team reach the NCAA Tournament in both 2015 and 2016. Brian also won many awards, including Rookie of the Year in 2013. He was chosen for the America East first team three times. In 2016, he was even named a semifinalist for the Hermann Trophy, which is a big award for college soccer players.
While in college, Brian also played for a team called Burlingame Dragons in 2016.
Playing for New England Revolution
In 2017, Brian was picked by the New England Revolution in the MLS SuperDraft. This is like a draft for professional soccer players.
- In March 2017, he was sent on loan to Tulsa Roughnecks. A loan means he played for another team for a short time.
- He made his first professional appearance on April 1, 2017.
- Brian scored his first professional goal in a cup game against D.C. United.
