Bridget Maasland (born 9 November 1974) is a Dutch VJ, television presenter, and producer. She is well-known for her work on various TV shows in the Netherlands.

Bridget Maasland's Early Career
Bridget Maasland started her career as a child model. She walked on fashion show runways. Her very first appearance on television was in a commercial. It promoted fruit as a healthy snack.
Later, Maasland became a professional model. She worked in Barcelona for a time. In 1993, she returned to the Netherlands. There, she became a show dancer and assistant. This was for the Veronica show called Man O Woman.
Becoming a Popular VJ
Bridget then joined TMF, a music television station. She quickly became very popular as a VJ and presenter. After five years, she left TMF. She was one of the last original presenters to leave.
She then moved to BNN, a Dutch national TV station. BNN aims its shows at a younger audience. Bridget's energetic style was a perfect fit. She presented many shows there. These included Lijst 0, which discussed politics. She also hosted Een Beetje Bridget and BNN At Work. Other shows were The National IQ Test and The Bridget Triangle. She also presented BNN presenteert AVRO's Sterrenslag and Katja vs. Bridget.
Hosting Robot Combat Shows
Bridget Maasland also interviewed teams for the Dutch version of Robot Wars. This was a popular robot combat game show. She played a similar role to Philippa Forrester in the British version. In one series, a team called Blue only communicated by passing notes to her.
Moving to New TV Stations
In 2005, Bridget decided to move to a new commercial station. This was Talpa, founded by John de Mol Jr. At Talpa, she had the chance to produce her own television shows.
Her first job at Talpa was co-hosting Big Brother 5. She hosted it with Ruud de Wild. A year later, she hosted Big Brother 6 by herself.
Producing Her Own Shows
Bridget Maasland produced her own show called Je leven in de steigers. This show was similar to Extreme Home Makeover. She also presented the news program NSE. Another show she produced was Woef!, which was about dog training. She also hosted the talk show Late Night met Maasland & Geel. And she presented Hoe word ik een Gooische Vrouw?, a funny show about being ladylike.
Joining RTL Nederland
At the end of 2007, Bridget moved to RTL Nederland. Talpa officially stopped existing. On 27 August, her new show started. It was called Hoe Word Ik Een New Yorkse Vrouw?. This show had a similar idea to her previous "Gooische Vrouw" show.
She also took over from Renate Verbaan in the second season of Beauty & de Nerd. In 2008, Bridget and her boyfriend Pepijn Padberg were expecting their first child. This led to her producing "Hoe word ik mama in Amsterdam-Zuid?". Since 2007, Bridget has often presented the popular tabloid show RTL Boulevard. She fills in for Albert Verlinde. She also presents the program Lekker Slim!.
Later Career and Relationships
On 17 December 2009, it was announced that Bridget and Pepijn Padberg had broken up. From September 2010 to February 2011, she was in a relationship with Johnny de Mol. In September 2011, she started a relationship with company lawyer Pieter van Schaik. However, on 16 April 2012, she announced on RTL Boulevard TV that their relationship had ended.
From 3 January 2011, Bridget Maasland acted as Carla in the BNN series Walhalla. At RTL 5, she was one of the presenters for the new program Wie is de Reisleider?, which aired from January.
On 21 May 2011, Maasland received the Amsterdam Fashion Award. This was during the Amsterdam Fashion Gala.
In 2022, she appeared on the television show The Masked Singer. In 2025, she was a participant in the 25th season of the television show Wie is de Mol?.
