Discovering Bristow Presbyterian Church
This church is known for its amazing design, which is called Gothic Revival architecture. This style looks a bit like old castles or cathedrals. The outside walls are made of white marble from Carthage, Missouri. Inside, the walls are made of a stone called Bedford stone.
Special Features Inside
The main worship area, called the Sanctuary, is truly stunning. It has beautiful stained glass windows made by a famous company called Tiffany. There is also a wonderful organ. People have even called the Sanctuary a "pocket cathedral" because it feels so grand and beautiful, even though it's not huge.
Who Helped Build It?
A lot of the church building was actually built by its pastor at the time, Thomas Murray. This shows how much he cared about the church and its community. The architect who designed the building was Corland L. Butler.
