Brockway is a small, unincorporated community in Wisconsin, USA. This means it's a place where people live, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or a village. It's found in Jackson County, within the larger area called the Town of Brockway. You can find Brockway right where two important roads meet: U.S. Route 12 and Wisconsin Highway 27. It's also located just south of a bigger town called Black River Falls, Wisconsin.

History of Brockway

How Brockway Got Its Name

The community of Brockway was named after a person named Eustace L. Brockway. He was an important person in the area a long time ago.

Who Was Eustace L. Brockway?

Eustace L. Brockway owned and operated a sawmill, which is a place where logs are cut into lumber. He also operated steamboats, which were boats powered by steam engines used for travel and moving goods on rivers. In 1872, he even served in the Wisconsin legislature. This means he was a part of the group of people who make laws for the state of Wisconsin. The community was named in his honor because of his contributions to the area.
