Bruce V. Morris is a former member of the Connecticut House of Representatives. He was a Democratic representative for six terms. He represented the 140th assembly district in Norwalk, Connecticut, from 2007 to 2019.

During his time in the House, Mr. Morris was a deputy speaker. He also served on several important committees. These included committees for finance, law (judiciary), human services, and legislative management. In his second term, he became an assistant majority whip. He was promoted to deputy majority whip in 2012.

From 2015 to 2016, Mr. Morris led the Connecticut General Assembly Black and Puerto Rican Caucus. Before that, he was the vice-chairman for three sessions. Outside of politics, he is an assistant pastor at Macedonia Church in Norwalk. He also worked for the Norwalk school system for many years. From 1998 to 2016, he was the Director of Human Relations. Then, until June 2017, he was the District School Climate Coordinator. He was also an elected board member of the National Black Caucus of State Legislators.

Mr. Morris won his first election against Richard A. McQuaid in 2006.
