Bryan Edward Hill is an American writer who creates stories for comic books, TV shows, and movies. He also works as a musician and graphic designer. He is known for writing popular characters like Batman and for TV series such as Titans.
Early Life
Bryan Hill was born in Chicago. When he was a child, his family moved to St. Louis, Missouri. He went to a school called John Burroughs School there.
Writing for Comics
Bryan Hill started his career in comic books with a company called Top Cow Productions. He helped expand the Witchblade universe by writing a story called Broken Trinity: Pandora's Box. He also wrote another comic book for Top Cow Productions called 7 Days from Hell, which was later turned into a movie script.
He co-wrote a comic book called Netherworld. Later, he co-wrote the comic book Postal, which started in 2015. He began writing Postal by himself from issue #12.
In 2018, Bryan Hill started writing for DC Comics. He wrote five issues of Detective Comics featuring Batman. This story arc, called On the Outside, led to a new series called Batman and the Outsiders, which he also wrote. This series featured Batman, Katana, Black Lightning, Cassandra Cain, and Duke Thomas.
In 2019, he began working with Marvel Comics. He wrote a miniseries about the character Killmonger. In 2024, he started writing Ultimate Black Panther, with art by Stefano Caselli.
TV and Movie Projects
In 2013, Bryan Hill began working on screenplays for movies. One of his action-thriller scripts, called Gone, was sold to Universal Studios. He also wrote the movie script for the video game series Just Cause 2.
He has also worked on scripts for popular TV shows. These include Ash vs Evil Dead and Titans.
