How Bryantsville Started
The community was officially planned and marked out on a map in the year 1835. This process is called "platting." Bryantsville was named after Robert Bryant, who was one of the very first people to settle in the area. He was an important pioneer settler.
The Bryantsville Post Office
For many years, Bryantsville had its own post office. This post office opened in 1846, making it easier for people to send and receive mail. It was a vital link for the community. However, the post office eventually closed its doors in 1905.
