Bryce Deadmon's Running Journey

Early Career and College Success

Bryce Deadmon studied at Texas A&M University. While there, he showed how talented he was in track and field. In 2021, he was the runner-up in the 400-meter race at the SEC Outdoor Championship. He ran a very fast time of 44.50 seconds. He also placed second in the 400-meter race at the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon, with a time of 44.44 seconds.

Olympic Dreams and Medals

Bryce worked hard to make it to the Olympic Games. He competed in the US Olympic Trials for the 400-meter race. He ran fast enough in his early races to qualify for the final. Even though he placed seventh in the final, his performance earned him a spot on the US men's relay team.

At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Bryce won two medals! He earned a bronze medal in the Mixed 4 × 400 meters relay. He then won a gold medal as part of the Men's 4 × 400 meters relay team. This was a huge achievement for him.

Becoming a National Champion

In 2023, Bryce competed at the 2023 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Oregon. He won the final of the 400-meter race, becoming the US national champion! Because of this win, he was chosen to represent the United States at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

More Olympic Glory

Bryce continued his success into 2024. In April 2024, he was chosen for the American team for the 2024 World Athletics Relays in the Bahamas. He then competed in the Men's 4 × 400 meters relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics. He won another gold medal, making it his second Olympic gold in a row! He also won a silver medal in the mixed 4 × 400 meters relay at the same Games.

Recent Competitions

In May 2025, Bryce finished fourth in the 400 meters at the 2025 Meeting International Mohammed VI d'Athlétisme de Rabat. This event was part of the 2025 Diamond League, a series of top-level track and field competitions.
