Discovering the Bucegi Mountains
The eastern side of the Bucegi Mountains has very steep slopes. These slopes lead down to the Prahova Valley, a super popular place for tourists. Imagine looking down from high up!
Nature's Sculptures: The Sphinx and Babele
Higher up in the Bucegi Mountains, you'll find the Bucegi Plateau. Here, wind and rain have worked together for ages to create amazing rock shapes. Two of the most famous are the Sphinx and Babele. They look like giant sculptures made by nature!
An Ancient Holy Mountain
The Bucegi Mountains are thought to be a very old holy mountain called Kogainon. This was a special place for the Dacian people long ago. It's believed that a mythical figure named Zalmoxis lived in a cave here.
