The Story of Bud
Bud got its name in a special way. In 1889, a post office opened in the community. This was a place where people could send and receive mail.
The community was named after a young boy. His name was Bud Vandivier. His father owned a store in the area. The post office stayed open for many years. It finally closed down in 1902.
