Making the Show
How Bug Juice Was Brought Back
On August 4, 2017, Disney Channel announced exciting news. They said they were making a new version of Bug Juice. The original show was very popular. This new series would be a docuseries, just like the first one.
Filming Location and Release
The show was filmed at Camp Waziyatah in Waterford, Maine. This is the same camp where the first season of the original Bug Juice was filmed. Filming started in 2017. Everyone expected the show to premiere in early 2018.
On April 19, 2018, Disney Channel shared more details. They announced the new show would be called Bug Juice: My Adventures at Camp. It was set to premiere in the summer of 2018. The first episode finally aired on July 16, 2018.

Many talented people helped create this show. Douglas Ross, Alex Baskin, Tina Gazzero Clapp, and Toni Gallagher were the main executive producers. An executive producer helps manage the whole production. The show was produced by a company called Evolution Media. The first season of the show has 16 episodes.
