Bullion is a small, unincorporated community located in Adair County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. An "unincorporated community" means it's a group of homes or buildings that isn't officially a town or city with its own local government.
History of Bullion, Missouri
The community of Bullion got its start when a post office was opened there in 1882. A post office is where people send and receive mail. This post office served the area for many years, but it eventually closed down in 1904.
The name "Bullion" comes from a person named C. H. Bull. He was a "railroad promoter," which means he helped plan and encourage the building of railroads. Railroads were very important for travel and moving goods across the country in the late 1800s.
