Bungwahl (which is called Worimi: Bangwaal in the local Aboriginal language) is a small town in New South Wales, Australia. It's located close to the beautiful Myall Lakes. This area is known for its many lakes and beaches. It is also near the turnoff to Seal Rocks, a popular spot.

The Story of the Post Office
A post office first opened here on 1 August 1875. Back then, it was known as the Bungwall Flat Post Office. Imagine sending letters from a place called "Bungwall Flat"!
In 1896, the name was officially changed to Bungwahl. This is the name we know today. The post office served the community for many years. It finally closed its doors in 1993.
