The Bury Transport Museum is a super interesting place in Bury, Greater Manchester. It's a museum all about different ways people used to travel! You can find it inside an old building called the Castlecroft Goods Warehouse. This building is very old, built way back in 1846, and is a special historic place. The museum's main entrance is on Bolton Street.

About the Museum
The museum was started in 1973 by amazing volunteers from the East Lancashire Railway. It had to close for a while in 2003 because of problems with its roof. But don't worry, it opened its doors again in 2010, ready for more visitors!
Cool Trains and Exhibits
The Bury Transport Museum often has exciting trains and displays.
Famous Locomotives
- From May 2022 until early 2023, a very famous steam train called the LNER Class A4 4488 Union of South Africa was on display. It was a big attraction! This locomotive left the museum on April 21, 2023.
- In December 2023, another cool train arrived at the museum. It was the LMS 3-Cylindered Stanier 2-6-4T No. 2500. This train was loaned to the museum from the National Railway Museum.
Special Memorial
In March 2025, a very important memorial was moved to the museum. This special monument remembers the brave men from the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway who gave their lives serving in World War One. It's a way to honor their memory.
