Béla Turi-Kovács (born December 2, 1935 – died November 3, 2023) was an important Hungarian politician. He served as the Minister of Environment for Hungary from 2000 to 2002. He was also a member of the Hungarian Parliament for a long time, from 1998 until he passed away.
Béla Turi-Kovács was known as the "Father of the House" starting in 2014. This special title is given to the oldest member of the parliament. Because he held this title, he had the honor of opening the first meetings of the National Assembly in 2014, 2018, and 2022.
