The Córcoles River is a river in Spain. It flows through two important areas: the Province of Albacete and the Province of Ciudad Real. Both of these provinces are located in the region of Castile-La Mancha.

This river is a part of a larger river system. It flows into the Acequia de Socuéllamos. This channel then joins the Záncara River. The Záncara River is part of the big Guadiana River basin.

Where Does the Córcoles River Start?

The Córcoles River begins its journey in the hills. These hills are located near a town called Lezuza. This is where the river's water first gathers.

How Long is the Córcoles River?

The Córcoles River is about 88 kilometers (which is about 55 miles) long. It flows for quite a distance through the Spanish countryside.

What Are Watermills?

Along the Córcoles River, you can find 17 watermills. Watermills are old buildings that used the power of the flowing river to grind grain into flour. They were very important for communities in the past. These mills show how people used the river's energy for hundreds of years.
