Adler became a full-time writer in 1979. This was after her first book, The Magic of the Glits, was published. This book was very popular and won two important awards: the William Allen White Award and the Golden Kite Award.

About Her Life

C.S. Adler spent most of her life in upstate New York. Before she became a writer, she worked as a middle school English teacher. She taught in the Niskayuna school district for almost ten years. Later, she moved to Tucson, Arizona.
