Cache is a small place in Alexander County, Illinois, in the United States. It's called an unincorporated community, which means it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town. Instead, it's managed by the county.

Cache is sometimes known as North Cairo. It was first planned on January 20, 1904. This was done for B.M. Cyril, who was the President of City Manufacturing Company.

You can find Cache near the famous Mississippi River. It is located to the west of a town called Mounds. Illinois Route 3 is a main road that goes through or near Cache.

Cache also has a bit of history with its post office. The Beech Ridge Post Office was moved to a store run by O.R. Bourland. It was then renamed Cache. This new post office opened on October 15, 1914. However, the post office in Cache eventually closed on October 5, 2002.
