This new building cost about £300,000 to build. It provides a comfortable place for people to rest and refuel after exploring the mountain.
Cycling Challenges
Caerphilly Mountain is famous in the world of cycling. Its steep climb is often part of the Tour of Britain cycle race. This is a major professional cycling event. Riders from all over the world compete in it. The mountain's challenging slopes test the cyclists' strength and endurance. In both the 2012 and 2013 races, cyclists had to climb Caerphilly Mountain twice! This made it a very exciting part of the race for fans.
