Calhoun is a neighborhood located in New Berlin, which is a city in Waukesha County, Wisconsin, United States. A neighborhood is a smaller area within a larger town or city.
History of Calhoun
The area known as Calhoun got its name from George E. Calhoun. He was the first person to own the land where the community was built.
A special office for mail, called a post office, was opened in Calhoun in 1882. This post office helped people send and receive letters and packages. It stayed open for many years, serving the community. However, in 1918, the post office was closed down.
