Callum Hart's Football Journey
Callum Hart was born in Cardiff, Wales, and grew up in the Penylan area. He started his football career as a young player at Bristol City. However, he didn't get a professional contract there and left the club in 2005.
Starting Out at Bournemouth
After leaving Bristol City, Callum worked as a labourer for a summer. He wrote to many football clubs, hoping for another chance. AFC Bournemouth offered him a trial. He played well in their practice games before the season started. Because of his good performance, he was offered a short-term contract.
Callum quickly joined the first team. He made his first appearance on August 24, 2005, in a Football League Cup match against Torquay United. Bournemouth won the game in a penalty shoot-out. Soon after, he got his first start in a match against Chesterfield.
His strong play led to him being called up to the Wales under-21 team in February 2006. This was for a game against Paraguay. Sadly, he couldn't play in that match because his club, Bournemouth, had many players injured at the time.
Moving Between Clubs
Bournemouth released Callum on May 7, 2007. In November, he joined Weymouth on a non-contract deal, meaning he wasn't on a full-time contract. He left Weymouth in February 2009 and briefly joined Farnborough. He only played for 37 minutes in one game there before looking for another professional contract.
In October 2009, Callum joined Bath City on a short-term basis. However, he soon left Bath City and signed with Weston-super-Mare, a team in the Conference South league. He returned to Bath City before the 2010–11 season began. Then, on March 14, 2011, he moved to Salisbury City.
Time at Salisbury City
Callum faced many injuries during the last few months of the season. To prove he was fit enough to play, he signed a non-contract deal with Salisbury for the 2011–12 season. He played really well and was even voted "Player of the Month" by the fans in August. Because of his great performances, the club offered him a one-year contract. But soon after signing, he got a serious knee injury, which meant he couldn't play for the rest of that season.
He came back the next season, the 2012–13 season. Again, he was asked to prove his fitness before the season started. He began on a non-contract deal but was offered a full contract after a successful pre-season. Callum played regularly for Salisbury during this season, starting most of their matches. He signed a new contract before the 2013–14 season.
