Calonge is a town in Catalonia, Spain. It is located on the beautiful Costa Brava coastline. Calonge is part of a region called Baix Empordà.
This town is special because it has two main parts. One part is an old medieval village. It sits on a hill about 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) away from the sea. The other part is a modern beach resort.

Exploring Calonge
The original village of Calonge is full of history. You can see the towers and walls of Calonge castle there. These parts of the castle were built way back in the 1200s!
Sant Antoni de Calonge
The beach resort part is called Sant Antoni de Calonge. It is right on the coast. This area is a popular spot for tourists. It is located between two other towns, Sant Feliu de Guíxols and Palamós.
Getting Around Calonge
A road called GI-660 connects the old village to the seaside resort. This road also goes north through the Gavarres mountains. It leads to another town called La Bisbal d'Empordà. A main road, the C-31, also passes through Calonge. It helps people travel north and south along the Costa Brava.
