Cameron Bailey is a Canadian film expert. He is known for being the CEO of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This is a very famous film festival in Canada.

Cameron Bailey's Early Life and Education
Cameron Bailey was born in London, England. His parents were from Barbados. He spent his early years in Barbados before his family moved to Canada when he was eight years old. He went to the University of Western Ontario for his education.
Starting a Career in Film
Before joining TIFF, Cameron Bailey worked as a film reviewer. He wrote for different newspapers and magazines like Now and Take One. He also shared his thoughts on films on TV shows like Canada AM and on CBC Radio One.
He also helped write a movie script in 1997. The movie was called The Planet of Junior Brown. He also wrote and directed a short film called Hotel Saudade.
Leading the Toronto International Film Festival
Cameron Bailey joined the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) as a programmer. This means he helped choose which movies would be shown at the festival.
Becoming Artistic Director
In 2012, Cameron Bailey was named the artistic director of TIFF. This was a big role where he helped shape the festival's creative vision. He made sure exciting and important films were featured.
In 2018, he got an even bigger role. He became the artistic director and co-head of the festival. This meant he shared leadership duties.
Becoming CEO of TIFF
