Camilla Herrem (born October 8, 1986) is a famous Norwegian handball player. She plays for Sola HK and used to play for the Norwegian national team.
Camilla has won many big awards in handball. She has two gold medals from the Olympic Games. She also has three gold medals from the World Championship and five gold medals from the European Championship. She is known for being one of the most successful players in World Championship history.

Camilla's Handball Journey
Camilla Herrem started playing handball at Sola HK when she was young. At first, she played as a playmaker. But when she was 16, she changed to play as a left wing. This is the position she became famous for.
She made her first appearance in the top Norwegian League when she was just 16. Her first international club game was in 2005.
Playing for Different Clubs
In 2006, Camilla moved to Byåsen, another strong Norwegian team. With Byåsen, she often played in the Champions League qualifying games.
Later, in the 2014–2015 season, she joined HCM Baia Mare in Romania. Her team reached the Champions League quarterfinals that year.
After Romania, she played for Team Tvis Holstebro in Denmark for one year. There, she helped her team win the Cup Winners' Cup in 2016.
Next, she moved to HC Vardar in Macedonia for the 2016–2017 season. Her team made it to the Champions League final! Camilla was even chosen as the best left wing of the Champions League that season.
After playing abroad, Camilla decided to come back home to Norway. She rejoined her first club, Sola HK, in 2017.
Playing for Norway
Camilla first played for the Norwegian national team in 2006. She has been a key player in many big tournaments since 2008.
She won a gold medal with the national team at the 2012 Olympic Games. She was also picked for the "All-Star team" at several World and European Championships. This means she was one of the best players in her position.
In April 2024, Camilla made history. She became the field player with the most games played for Norway. She played more games than the famous Karoline Dyhre Breivang. Only goalkeeper Katrine Lunde has played more games overall.
On December 15, 2024, after winning the European Championship final, Camilla announced she was leaving the national team. She finished her amazing national team career with 332 games and 951 goals!

About Camilla's Life
Camilla Herrem is married to Steffen Stegavik, who was also a Norwegian handball player. They got married in July 2013.
Camilla and Steffen have two sons. Their first son was born in July 2018. Their second son was born in March 2023. Amazingly, Camilla returned to play for Sola HK just 24 days after her second son was born!
In 2020, Camilla wrote a book about her life called Camilla uten filter (Camilla without filter).
