Camp Orange: The Mystery of Spaghetti Creek facts for kids

Camp Orange: The Mystery of Spaghetti Creek was the third exciting season of the kids' reality show Camp Orange. It first aired on Nickelodeon Australia in May 2007. The show was filmed at the Old Mogo Gold Rush Town in Mogo, New South Wales. After the previous season, a new company called Fox Australia took over the show. They changed many of the rules to make it even more thrilling!

Meet the Teams!

Week 1: The Adventure Begins!

The season kicked off with the host, Maude, tied to a pole. Two characters dressed as bushrangers told the teams to rescue her. Once Maude was free, she explained the challenge. The teams had to travel back in time to 1852. In this past, a character named Captain Thunderbox had taken over Spaghetti Creek. He was trying to find a hidden treasure!

Lock, Shock and One Soaking Barrel

In this challenge, teams were locked in a small jail cell. They had to use a long wooden pole to grab keys. They had two minutes to find the right key to escape. If they picked the wrong key, they got soaked!

Blind Man's Bash

For this game, one teammate wore a chest guard and a bucket helmet. Their partner, standing on the sidelines, guided them. The blindfolded teammate had to pick up as many horse shoes as possible.

Week 2: Messy Fun!

Tied Up and Pied Up

Teams were tied together for a super messy race. They had to collect ingredients for Maude's favorite apple pie. The goal was to cross the finish line first. They also had to wear boots filled with spaghetti! The Bee's Knees won this close race.

Slippery Log Bog

A slippery log was placed over a muddy pit. One person from each team tried to reach the middle. Their goal was to grab a signal flag. Meanwhile, other teams threw wet sponges at them! The team that got the flag in the final round won.

Week 3: Gold and Costumes!

Filthy Rich

When Captain Thunderbox disappeared, the town went back to gold mining. Campers had to dig through dirt to find small pieces of gold. They then had to wash and dry the gold. The first team to make their scales tip won!

Photo Finish

Teams raced to change into three different outfits as fast as they could. The costumes were "husband and wife," "show girls," and "police and convict." A photo was taken of each outfit. The Booty Kickers had the fastest time!

Week 4: Slime and Medicine!

Slime Bucket

Teams had to keep a bucket of "Snakey Slime" in the air using a pole. If they dropped it, they would get drenched! Each team could have one person switch places. The team that held the slime up the longest won.

Dr Zeke's Snake Bite Remedy

Teams raced to fill a leaky bucket with water. Then, they had to pour that water into a tube of "medicine." They kept adding water until a cork floated to the top. Finally, they filled a small bottle and ran to the finish line.

Week 5: Creative Challenges!

Billy Can Jam

Each team had 15 minutes to create a song, rap, or poem. They had to use at least four specific words like "spaghetti" or "Maude." Teams could use one percussion instrument. After everyone performed, teams voted for their favorite (but couldn't vote for themselves!).

Raiders in the Dark

One person from each team had to go into a completely dark mine shaft. Their goal was to find items left behind. They were attached by a rope to their teammate outside. The teammate outside guided them through the darkness. The fastest team won!

Week 6: The Big Treasure Hunt!

The final challenge was a huge treasure hunt! It started at the Spaghetti Creek swamp. Teams had to find their colored tiles. The Dark Evil Bunnies tried to hide another team's tile, but the Booty Kickers saw them!

The Bee's Knees were close behind. They found their next tile in a haystack. Soon, the Booty Kickers, Dark Evil Bunnies, and Bee's Knees were all racing to the mine. Inside the tunnel, the Booty Kickers found their tile first. They then worked on a jigsaw puzzle.

The other teams caught up, and they all went in different directions. The Booty Kickers went to the wash house. The Dark Evil Bunnies headed to the blacksmith's building.

The Booty Kickers were still in the lead. They had to eat through many pies to find another tile! The Mix Ups were still working on their puzzle. The Booty Kickers then used a pole to knock down a flour bucket to get another tile.

The Dark Evil Bunnies quickly knocked down their own bucket and pulled ahead. They went to the graveyard. There, they used their tiles to figure out which grave to dig up. The Booty Kickers and Bee's Knees soon followed.

The Dark Evil Bunnies found a small chest with their last clue, a key, and a map. They started to work it out. The Bee's Knees ran to where they thought the treasure was hidden. Ryan from the Dark Evil Bunnies realized that if you folded the map, it looked like a coffin. They ran to Mayor Freddy Spaghetti's coffin, unlocked it, and found the treasure!
