Canby's History
Canby once had a post office. It opened in 1873. The post office helped people send and receive mail. It stayed open for about 35 years. It closed down in 1908.
A historic Quaker church still stands near the old community site. Quakers are a type of Christian group.
Canby was always a very small place. In 1902, only 13 people lived there. By 1925, the population grew a little to 25 people. Today, not much is left of the original community.
