Cansu Dere (born October 14, 1980, in Ankara) is a famous Turkish actress, model, and TV host. She was also crowned Miss Turkey Universe in 2000.
About Cansu Dere
Cansu Dere's family has roots in different places. Her mother's family comes from the Turkish community in Thessaloniki, Greece. Her father's family comes from the Turkish community in Bulgaria.
Cansu finished her primary and secondary school in İzmir. In 2000, she was supposed to represent Turkey in the Miss Universe contest. However, she could not go because of a disagreement between Turkey and Cyprus, where the contest was held. The Turkish government did not allow her to travel there for political reasons.
Soon after, Cansu started working as a professional model. She left her studies in Archeology at Istanbul University to focus on modeling. She represented Turkey in many international fashion events. She also took part in fashion shows in Paris in 2002 and 2003. She worked with many important photographers during this time.

Cansu Dere is well-known for her many roles in TV series and movies.
- From 2006 to 2008, she played the main character, 'Sıla', in the TV series Sıla.
- In 2007, she was 'Defne' in the movie The Last Ottoman.
- She also acted in the movie Acı Aşk in 2009.
- From 2009 to 2011, she played 'Eyşan' in the popular series Ezel.
- She played 'Firuze/Huymerya' in Magnificent Century from 2012 to 2013. This show was about the Ottoman Empire.
- From 2016 to 2017, she played 'Zeynep Güneş' in the TV series Anne. In this show, she acted alongside Beren Gökyıldız, who played her daughter.
- Most recently, from 2020 to 2022, Cansu played 'Asya Yılmaz' in the TV series Sadakatsiz. This show was a Turkish version of the English series Doctor Foster.
Cansu Dere has also appeared in web series. In 2018, she played 'Nevra Elmas' in Şahsiyet. In 2023, she was 'Derya' in Siyaha Bulaşan Kadınlar on Disney+.
