Carcasí is a town and a municipality located in the northeastern part of Colombia. It is part of the Santander Department and belongs to the García Rovira Province. A municipality is like a local government area, similar to a county or a district, that includes a main town and the surrounding rural areas.

Carcasí is a small community with a population of about 5,039 people as of 2015. Out of these, around 652 people live in the main town area.
