Carla Angeline Reyes Abellana (born June 12, 1986) is a famous Filipino actress. She is well-known for playing the main character in the Philippine version of the Mexican TV show Rosalinda in 2009. Carla has also starred in many other popular TV series. These include Sine Novela: Basahang Ginto (2010), Kung Aagawin Mo Ang Langit (2011-2012), Makapiling Kang Muli (2012), My Husband's ... (2013), and My Destiny (2014).
She also had leading roles in Because of You (2015-2016), Mulawin vs. Ravena (2017), I Heart Davao (2017), Pamilya Roces (2018), and Love of My Life (2020-2021). More recently, she appeared in Stolen Life (2023-2024) and Widows' War (2024-2025). Carla is currently an exclusive artist with Triple A Management and works with GMA Network.

Carla Angeline Reyes Abellana was born on June 12, 1986, in Manila, Philippines. Her father, Rey "PJ" Abellana, is also an actor. Her mother is Rea Reyes. Carla's grandmother, Delia Razon, is a well-known actress too.
Carla studied at De La Salle University. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and graduated with honors.
Carla's Marriage and Health
Carla Abellana married actor Tom Rodriguez in October 2021. Their marriage ended in June 2024.
In September 2024, Carla shared that she has been dealing with some health challenges since 2019. She also mentioned having kidney stones and a urinary tract infection.
Carla Abellana's Acting Career
Carla Abellana started her career as a model. She appeared in several TV commercials, including one for CreamSilk Leave-on in 2002 and Palmolive Conditioner in 2005.
Early Roles and Breakthrough
In 2009, Carla tried out for a role in the TV series Zorro. However, GMA Network chose her for the main role in Rosalinda instead. This show was a remake of a popular Mexican TV series. In the same year, she also became a model for the clothing brand Bench.
In 2011, Carla was featured in Philippine Tatler magazine. Her photos were taken by America's Next Top Model judge Nigel Barker. She also walked the runway at Philippine Fashion Week 2011.
Hosting and Film Work
Carla has also been a host for many TV shows. She co-hosted SOP Rules, StarStruck, and Party Pilipinas. She also hosted the cooking show Del Monte Kitchenomics and the drama series Karelasyon. Carla has hosted beauty pageants like Binibining Pilipinas 2010 and Miss World Philippines 2013. In 2013, she joined Sunday All Stars as a judge.
Carla is a contract star with Regal Films. She signed a deal to make 12 movies with them. Her first movie with Regal Films was Mamarazzi. She also appeared in her first horror film, Shake, Rattle & Roll XII, which was part of the 2010 Metro Manila Film Festival.
In September 2011, Carla starred in the Regal Films movie My Neighbor's Wife. By the end of 2011, she was in two more films for the 2011 Metro Manila Film Festival. These were Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow and Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story. In 2014, she starred in the romantic comedy Somebody to Love and So It's You. In 2015, she starred in the film No Boyfriend Since Birth.
In 2024, Carla Abellana was a main cast member in Widows' War. She played the main antagonist, Georgina "George" Balay-Palacios. Before that, she played Lucy Rigor in Stolen Life.
