Carla Juri (born January 2, 1985) is a talented actress from Switzerland. She has starred in several movies, including 180°, Wetlands, Finsterworld, and the science fiction film Blade Runner 2049.

Carla Juri's Early Life and School
Carla Juri grew up in a small village called Ambrì in Switzerland. This area is known for speaking Italian. She is very good at languages and can speak German, English, and Italian fluently. She learned German and Italian when she was young, and started learning English at age 15.
When she was in school, Carla loved playing ice hockey. She played for a team called HC Ambrì-Piotta. She even became a forward for a top Swiss ice hockey team, SC Reinach. From 2005 to 2010, she studied acting in big cities like Los Angeles and London. She worked hard to find acting jobs, using her skills in three languages.
Carla Juri's Acting Career
Carla Juri's first movie role was in a short film called Midday Room. In 2011, she won an important award called the Swiss Film Award. She won for "Best Performance in a Supporting Role" for her work in the movie 180°. The next year, she won "Best Actress" for her role in Someone Like Me
.In 2013, Carla was chosen as a "Shooting Star." This award is given every year to ten promising young European actors at the Berlin International Film Festival. She also played the main character, Helen Memel, in the 2013 movie Wetlands. This role is one of her most famous. To get ready for this part, Carla wore her character's clothes for several weeks. She also spent time in Berlin, where her character lived. She even pretended to be a student at a high school, and only the principal knew she was an actress.
Later, Carla appeared in the movie Blade Runner 2049. In this film, she played a character who designed memories for special human-like robots called replicants.
