Carlisle, Michigan facts for kids
Carlisle, Michigan refers to two different places in the U.S. state of Michigan that share the same name. These are mostly historic settlements, meaning they were once more active communities. It's a bit like having two towns named "Springfield" in the same state!
One Carlisle is located in Kalamo Township, which is part of Eaton County. The other Carlisle is found in Byron Township, located in Kent County. This second Carlisle is sometimes also called West Carlisle to help tell it apart from the one in Eaton County.
