Carlos Daniel Cevada Teixeira (born July 11, 1994) is a talented Portuguese footballer. He plays as a winger or an attacking midfielder. This means he often plays on the sides of the field or just behind the main attackers, helping to create goals. Currently, he plays for Liga Portugal 2 club C.S. Marítimo.

Carlos Daniel's Football Journey

Carlos Daniel was born in Figueira da Foz, a city in Portugal. He started playing football in youth teams at a young age.

Starting in Youth Teams

In 2009, Carlos Daniel joined the youth system of U.D. Leiria. Before that, he even played for S.L. Benfica's youth team for two years.

First Steps as a Professional

Carlos Daniel made his professional debut for U.D. Leiria on May 14, 2011. He was only 16 years old! This made him one of the youngest players to ever play for the club. He played for eight minutes in a match against S.L. Benfica.

Playing for Different Clubs

After his time at U.D. Leiria, Carlos Daniel went on loan to G.D. Tourizense for part of the 2012–13 season. A "loan" means he played for another team for a short time.

Later, he joined C.S. Marítimo B, which is the reserve team for C.S. Marítimo. Reserve teams are like a training ground for younger players or those getting back into shape.

Playing for Marítimo's Main Team

Carlos Daniel played only one official match for Marítimo's main team. This happened on January 15, 2017. He came on as a substitute in the last few minutes of a game.

Moving Around Portugal

After leaving Marítimo in 2018, Carlos Daniel played for several other clubs in Portugal. He played for U.D. Leiria again, then C.D. Fátima, S.C. Beira-Mar, and C.D. Mafra. He moved between different divisions, which are like different leagues or levels of play.

Playing Abroad in Poland

On July 9, 2021, when he was 27 years old, Carlos Daniel decided to play football outside of Portugal for the first time. He signed a two-year contract with Wisła Puławy, a club in Poland's II liga.

Return to Portugal

In the summer of 2022, Carlos Daniel returned to Portugal. He joined C.D. Nacional, another team in the second-tier league, and signed a two-year deal with them. In 2024, he returned to C.S. Marítimo.
