Carlos Vicente Squeo (born June 4, 1948, in Dock Sud, Avellaneda, Argentina – died September 8, 2019) was a famous Argentine football player. He was a defender. Carlos played for many football clubs in Argentina and Mexico. He also represented the Argentina national football team in the 1974 FIFA World Cup.

Playing Career
Early Years at Racing Club
Carlos Squeo began his football journey in 1969. He started playing for Racing Club. He became one of the players who stayed with the club the longest. Carlos played 305 games for Racing Club. He also scored 35 goals for them. He played for Racing Club in three different periods of his career.
Moving to Other Clubs
In 1973, Squeo played for Vélez Sársfield for a short time. After that, he returned to Racing Club in 1974. Later that year, he was chosen to play for the Argentina national team. He played in the 1974 World Cup. He made two appearances in this big competition.
Success at Boca Juniors
In 1977, Carlos Squeo joined Boca Juniors. This was a very important move for him. He was part of the team that won the Copa Libertadores 1978. The Copa Libertadores is a major football tournament in South America.
Playing Abroad and Return
In 1979, Squeo moved to Mexico. He joined a club called Gallos de Jalisco. This club no longer exists today. He came back to Argentina in 1981. He then played for Loma Negra.
Later Career
Squeo later joined Instituto de Córdoba in 1983. After that, he played for Racing Club again. He helped them try to get back into the top football league in Argentina. He also had a final time in the top league with Belgrano de Córdoba. Carlos spent his last playing years in lower leagues. He played for Dock Sud and Alumni de Villa María in 1986.
Coaching Career
After he stopped playing football, Carlos Squeo became a coach. He worked as an assistant coach for many years. He often worked with manager Miguel Ángel Brindisi. They coached together at several clubs. These included Racing Club, Boca Juniors, and Independiente. They also coached Club Atlético Huracán and Club Atlético Lanús. They even worked in Spain for Espanyol. Later, they coached the Guatemala national football team.
