Her Early Life and Education
Carme Torras loved learning from a young age. She studied mathematics at the University of Barcelona and earned her master's degree in 1978. Then, she went to the University of Massachusetts to study computer science, getting another master's degree in 1981. She continued her studies and received her Ph.D. in computer science from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 1984.
