Her Journey and Work
Carmen Guarini earned her Ph.D. (a very high university degree) in Paris, France. She learned about making films about people and cultures from famous directors like Jean Rouch in 1988. She also took special classes with other well-known filmmakers such as Fernando Birri.
Carmen is a researcher at CONICET, which is a big science and technology research council in Argentina. She is also a professor of Visual Anthropology at the University of Buenos Aires.
