Carol Graham was born in Belfast in 1951. She went to school in Ballymena. Later, she studied art at the Belfast College of Art. This was from 1970 to 1975.
Her Art Career
Carol Graham is famous for painting portraits. A portrait is a painting of a person. She has painted many important people. These include the musician James Galway. She also painted former Irish Presidents Mary Robinson and Mary McAleese.
She started her art career in 1976. She received help from the Arts Council. One of her first big jobs was painting a portrait of Gloria Hunniford.

Carol Graham's paintings have been shown in many places. She has had solo art shows. These include galleries in Belfast, Dublin, and Holywood.
She is a member of the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts. This is a special group for artists. She was even the president of this group. She led the Academy from 2003 to 2006. The Royal Ulster Academy gave her Gold medals. She won these awards in 1985 and 1996.
