Caroline Isenberg was born on October 27, 1961, in Brookline, Massachusetts. She attended the Brimmer and May School and later went to Harvard College. At Harvard, she lived in a student residence called Currier House.
During her last year at Harvard, Caroline got a special chance to act in a TV movie called First Affair. This movie was filmed right there at Harvard. While many other students were extras in the film, Caroline was the only student who had a speaking role. This showed her early talent for acting.
After she graduated from college, Caroline moved to Manhattan, a busy part of New York City. She shared an apartment on the Upper West Side with her best friend, Sea Glassman. Caroline then started taking drama classes at the famous Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre to continue her acting journey.
