Carrasco National Park is a special protected area in Cochabamba Department, Bolivia. It's a huge park, covering about 6,226 square kilometers. That's bigger than many cities! This park is super important because it's home to more than 5,000 different kinds of plants. This makes it one of the most diverse places in all of Bolivia.
The park was created on October 11, 1991. It's a protected area, which means people are not allowed to live inside it. This rule helps keep the plants and animals safe and undisturbed.

Carrasco National Park is a beautiful place with mountains, rivers, and amazing waterfalls. You'll find gentle valleys and deep canyons there too. It protects a part of the Bolivian Yungas ecoregion. An ecoregion is a large area of land or water that has its own unique set of plants and animals.
The park has lots of green plants and trees. This rich plant life provides a safe home for many animals. Some of these animals, plants, and trees are in danger of disappearing forever. The park helps protect them.
Where is Carrasco National Park?
The park is located in the eastern part of the Cochabamba Department in Bolivia. It stretches across three different provinces:
- Carrasco Province
- Tiraque Province
- Chapare Province
This wide area helps protect a large variety of natural habitats.
