How Did Carsley Get Its Name?
The name "Carsley" comes from a family who owned the land a long time ago. The Carsley family lived there as early as 1812. However, the very first official owner of the land was a person named John Parsons. He received the land as a special gift, called a land grant, from the King of England on June 5, 1736.
