Carter Henry Harrison, Jr. (born April 23, 1860 – died December 25, 1953) was an important leader in Chicago. He served as the Mayor of Chicago two different times. His first time was from 1897 to 1905, and his second time was from 1911 to 1915. He was the 30th mayor of the city. What's special about him is that he was the first mayor who was actually born in Chicago! His father, Carter Harrison, Sr., was also a mayor of Chicago.
Carter Harrison, Jr. was born in Chicago, Illinois. His father was the mayor when Carter was born. Sadly, his father was killed while he was still in office. Carter Harrison, Jr. was married to Edith Ogden. They had two children together. He passed away on December 25, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 93.
