Casey Burgess (born 19 December 1988) is an Australian television personality and singer. Burgess is a former member of the Australian children's musical group Hi-5. She was born in Sydney, the daughter of Ray Burgess, who also pursued a musical career and was a presenter on Countdown.
Burgess joined the Australian children's musical group Hi-5 in April 2008. As part of the group, she toured and filmed the television series. She departed the group in January 2013 after five years, to pursue a solo music career.
After leaving Hi-5, she began work on her debut album with Fox Studio.
In 2013 Burgess was also a guest singer on the anti-fracking single "No Fracking Way" by Leo Sayer to help raise funds for anti-fracking group Lock the Gate. in 2020 the former Hi-5 star released her first solo album.The 12 track album was recorded in Nashville with producer Sam Hawksley All the tracks were co-written with Nashville songwriters including Sam Hawksley and Aussie ex-pat Rick Price. The first single from the album is “Five Minute Fairytale” 20 year Film, Stage, Television and Music career. Acting roles in “Home and Away”, ”Rake”, “Fairscape” and telemovie “Scorched” “I felt like I had so much to say about life, love and heartbreak and feel I have the strength to be open to other woman who have had the same experiences. I want to reach out to girls and women, and men for that matter, who are unsure of how to express their feelings. I want my words and experience to be that place of solace for them - like I have and do with my favourite artists”. “I took a break and wanted to really focus and make my music the best I could working with some of the best - I can’t wait to share this body of work of which I am very proud.
