Starting in the AFLW
Cassie Davidson was chosen to play in the AFL Women's league in 2016. She was picked by the Fremantle Dockers as their eleventh choice. Overall, she was the eighty-fourth player selected in the 2016 AFL Women's draft. This draft is how teams choose new players for their squads.
Debut Match
Cassie played her very first game in the AFLW in 2017. This was in the first round of the 2017 AFL Women's season. Her team, Fremantle, played against the Western Bulldogs. The game took place at a stadium called VU Whitten Oval.
Even though Fremantle lost that game, Cassie played well. She went on to play in every match during her first season. This meant she played seven games in total for the year.
Moving to West Coast
In April 2019, Cassie Davidson moved to a new team. She was traded to the West Coast Eagles. This team was new to the AFL Women's competition at the time. She played for the Eagles during the 2020 season.
